I was never really a candle person. My college roommate tried to convert me into her candle culture but I never fully could get on board. I spent my money on music and groceries. Later in life, while shopping at a local store here in Cincinnati called “Elizabeth Grace Home”, I stumbled across these gorgeous glass vases filled with wax. Each scent has its own design within the different colors of spotted or solid glass and every single one of them is equally gorgeous. I mean to tell you that this is the most luxurious candle I have ever laid eyes, let alone smelled. I looked at the price and kept walking because I don’t like candles, remember? I went home and talked about them for probably over ten minutes, which is a long time to talk about anything, let alone candles. My husband later gave me one as a gift and I simply couldn’t believe it was mine.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to own a few of these in varying sizes and scents and White Pearls has always been my favorite. The scent is comprised of orchid, freesia and musk. Meghan Markle also owns at least one of these (I spotted the “Aurum” scented candle in a documentary, Episode 6 of ‘Harry & Meghan’) which was another nod to the brand. This is not your everyday, run of the mill candle. This one is special. If you come to my house and this candle has been lit, that means I really like you. ;)
